The Waikaretu community is actively involved with our school and regularly supports us. Our school is grateful for this support as well as from past school families and local businesses. Our generous sponsors are regularly featured on the last page of our fortnightly newsletter. 

Waikaretu Community Playgroup

Our school facilitates a free playgroup for pre-schoolers and young mothers/fathers to come together every fortnight on a Monday and do some fun activities. The playgroup in run by a parent volunteer. Please contact the office for current dates and times. 

Sea Scouts – Cubs, Keas and Scouts

Waikaretu Keas, Cubs and Sea Scouts welcomes new members.

Keas and Cubs, covering years one to five for both girls and boys. Meet straight after school on Mondays during term time until 5pm.  

Sea Scouts, boys and girls in years six to ten, meet on pre-arranged Saturdays, several times during the term. 

Scouts, at all levels, offers a programme based on Outdoors, Community, Personal Development and New Experiences cornerstones, with an underlying theme of Adventure Plus! 


Waikaretu Community Hall Committee  

The Waikaretu community have a Committee that oversees the Waikaretu Hall. This hall can be hired for celebrations. For more information and to get in touch with the Committee chairperson, please contact the school office on 09 2333 3014.
